Artist Statement

Merging art and storytelling together, my work seeks to explore the human psyche in the realm of fantasy. Using dramatic line work in the tradition of mangaka and comic-book illustrators, I celebrate the style of artists like Dave Gibbons (Watchmen illustrator) and Kentaro Miura (Berserk illustrator). I also pull from intriguing landscapes that I discovered while living in the often overlooked, Gunma prefecture of Japan.
